- So the millions of worms all over the town just...go away?
- I guess the implication is that once the power is fixed they aren't being electrocuted into madness anymore. Which raises the question of just how this is supposed to work anyway; were they somehow getting constant jolts throughout the rest of the movie, everywhere they went, and nobody else ever got shocked?
- How did Alma breathe in that little trunk all night?
- It didn't look like it was airtight. The bigger question is why didn't she take off those cumbersome shoes while in there.
- Why the hell is the diner even open if there's no power and thus refrigeration?
- Maybe they had a generator?
- The movie does show in the preceding and following scenes that folks in the area have been using ice blocks to keep their perishables cool. This would be a pretty common occurrence given the era. The radio playing in the store seems to show that either the store DOES have power, or has been using a generator. (Or perhaps it was running on batteries.)
