• Does Islam believe in some path for redemption from a mistake? From what happens to the way others treat Ramy in the series, he seems to be a persona non-grata in Season 3 for the wedding night infidelity and it also seems like in-universe, people just want to blame Ramy without offering him a path to redemption. It doesn't particularly square with most religions from this troper's observations.
  • Islam, does, in fact have a path for redemption. The standard is begging for forgiveness from Allah, but sometimes there's more depending on the sin.

• What was going through Ramy's cousin's mind when she came all the way from Egypt to New Jersey for a wedding of a cousin she slept with. She voiced confusion over why she was there herself, and it seems like there's no easier way to avoid a bad decision than not book a ticket to a wedding she wasn't really expected to attend.

• Were we expected to sympathize with Steve over Ramy in Season 3? Steve only calls Ramy when he needs a ride?
