Headscratchers / Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin

• In the season finale, the little Liars are given a chance to inflict the same pain on their bullies. Despite passing the test, the moms and Imogen and by proxy her unborn baby were chased by Archie. So what was the purpose of the test? Was it some sort of twisted social experiment to see if Humans Are Bastards? If so, why even bother going after the moms and the daughters when they passed the test? And how did Imogen even pass her test? She used tongs to remove the pages of the diary out of Davie’s mom? How was Davie even a bully to Imogen?
  • It was more so an sick secret test of character and ~ A felt like Imogen’s mom failed her by “Getting Out The Easy Way” when instantly reminded of her Greatest Failure. So Imogen was ordered to be killed despite proving herself to be unlike her mother since the villain didn’t care about that and hardly cared for the fact that she was heavily pregnant.
  • But didn’t the other moms besides Sydney fail? They literally repeated the same mistakes but on their daughters and failed to be better people and own up to their mistakes. And did Imogen even pass the test? If she did, how was the extraction of pages a pass? Wouldn’t it be failure since the whole point of the test was to avoid letting your evil urges take over? The other tests were clear on whether the girls passed or not, but Imogen’s wasn’t.
• How did Mrs. Beasley know about Tom raping Angela? Did she also attend high school with everyone else? Why didn’t she consider reporting her husband for his crimes after finding out the truth? Or did she learn the truth after she married him?
  • It’s been implied that she heard about the allegations, but no one bother to report Tom since The Sinners made majority of the school not believe Angela. Martha had to learn the truth when she got “serious” with Tom however by that time unlike Davie she didn’t have the strength to leave that relationship especially after Karen and Kelly were born because she figured she had an better chance to protect them than if she left since her husband would use his connections to have solo custody of their kids.
  • So did Martha even go to the same high school as them and that’s why she didn’t do anything, or did she marry Tom and found out later (like through a drunk confession, or any incriminating evidence similar to Davie’s diary)?
• How was what Sidney did a form of silencing? She told the others friends what happened. And if it was silencing, wouldn’t she have forced Angela to be quiet? Or was it because she was an Accomplice by Inaction?
  • Sidney said told Tabby she pressured into doing it much to her regret.
  • So what was considered the silence? Was it ignoring Angela?
• How did Tom even become Sheriff? With his reputation for bullying others in high school, it wouldn’t make sense.
  • There are countless police officers and Sheriffs both in fiction and in real-life who have a past of (or currently are) abusing or bullying others.
