Headscratchers / Paul Blart: Mall Cop

• If Paul's wife just married him to get her green card, then how was she with him long enough to have a child, and why would she have even have consented to have one?
  • Foreign spouses applying for green cards are on probation for at least 2 years, so she'd have to stick with him. For the marriage to be legal (and thus provide the card), they'd have to consummate, and if she was a cultural Catholic, or just opposed both abortion AND raising the kid, Paul would be left with a child.
• In the sequel, why the Hell are the villains holding a meeting to discuss their heist plan, in a hotel room where a party is being held? Did it not occur to them that one of those partygoers (in this case, Maya) might enter the room they're in and catch them?
  • They may have assumed that everyone would be too occupied with the party to notice them.
