Headscratchers / Lu & the Bally Bunch

• Elodie and her parents are worms, and they live in an apple house hanging from a branch that appears to be relatively high up. How does they manage to leave and enter the place if they lack the ability to fly?
  • They could have a flying car ala Lu's.
• Flies are commonly treated as animals in the universe; There are dog-flies and horseflies. If Gus and his family are flies, then does that mean they are the Bally Bunch equivalent of anthropomorphic animals?
• What type of insect is Declan?
  • He could be a pill bug, but he's never been shown balling up and rolling around places. They had the opportunity to show that in the episode "Wiggling and Flapping", which walked all about the bugs and their different abilities.
  • Going by the Alliterative Name rule that the other bugs have- Ladybird Lu Barnaby Bee, Elodie Earthworm, Gus Greenfly, and Biba Butterfly- it could be assumed the insect that Declan is based on starts with a D.
  • Declan has since been confirmed to be a ground beetle. Case closed.
• If worms are unable to swim, then how is Wanda able to access the water without water wings? And why is Elodie taking swim lessons if she'll never be able to swim without water wings in the first place?
• How have Gus and his family not been devoured by the various frogs in the lake they live in?
