  • Why does Veronica not want her sister to speak?
    • Probably to keep whatever their secret is that, a secret.
    • Because they're not even sisters. Lily was a kidnapping victim and Veronica was a kidnapped-turned-kidnapper, their "father" being the kidnapper. It's all but said that Lily was said to be "mute" so that she couldn't tell anyone about her situation and call for help.
  • A giant sloth comes through the camp and eats all the food, leaving them to desperately try to catch rabbits and eat mushrooms. Why not... track the sloth down and kill it with one of the guns? There's meat for all for a few weeks at least!
    • How easy is it to kill an elephant with a handgun? You have to be right next to the animal to get a fatal shot. It was simply too risky, especially if you consider they have limited ammunition.
    • Nah, it's a sloth, and moved rather slow. Should leave an easy-to-track trail a mile wide. They could wound it and let it bleed out.
    • I think you're both overestimating handguns and underestimating ground sloths. At least some ground sloths had osteoderms (literal bone chunks in the skin, and even then the animals have thick fur and skin to contend with. The guns they have really wouldn't do much, and on top of that the only gun they have in action by that point is Lucas' as Ty's seems to be out of bullets since he didn't use it against the second Smilodon, and that's assuming Lucas even has much training with guns to begin with. There's a lot riding on that when bullets could be more efficiently used elsewhere.
    • Not to mention that, even if they did manage to kill it, the castaways wouldn't have a clue how to process that much meat in the time it would take for the carcass's odor to attract every wolf, bear and big cat for miles.
  • During "The New Arrival" a giant snake attacked Riley; were snakes alive during the time period the characters are stuck in?
    • Snakes existed for tens of millions of years before this, yes; a giant snake on the other hand, yeah that's completely made up and unlikely to evolve or survive in the area.
    • It is, loosely, based on the real life Titanoboa, but it was long extinct by the time period the show is supposed to be set in.
    • Maybe it arrived through another sinkhole?
      • Or even the same sinkhole, if one of the vehicles had been transporting someone's pet anaconda when it dropped through.
