- Why does Talbot attempt to kill himself by jumping into the sea, even though at this point in the series he should be well aware of how hard it is to kill him?
- Desperation? His desire to not go through the transformation again outweighed the part of him that knew it wasn't going to work, or maybe he hoped being bashed against pointy rocks by the waves would at least be enough to damage him to the point the werewolf couldn't hurt anyone even if it didn't kill him.
