• Why was Ovi being held by a bunch of low-level gangsters if Asif has control of Dhaka's police force?
  • Accountability. After that pathetic crew was taken out, note that is the police colonel was the man to report it to Asif. My theory is that these are a bunch of gangsters under the cop's favour, probably a cheap way to offload dirty work without using department resources that may raise a lot of questions to the higher ups on why is there a mob boss's son from another country sitting in a police/military building.
    • Of course with Asif taking over, subtly goes out of the window and by the end of the movie the Bangladeshi cops presumably have to explain why there's a hundred-give-or-take dead security personnel and their equally dead colonel chasing down one white dude and an Indian kid.
• If Saju thought himself capable of killing Tyler and his crew, why didn't he just assault Ovi's captors himself?
  • He let them do the hardest part and swooped in afterwards to claim credit.
  • Note how he didn't take on Tyler's entire crew at once, like Tyler and his colleagues did to the group of mooks holding Ovi. He picked them off one at a time without the others being alerted until it was too late, and had another advantage - Tyler couldn't simply threaten to put a bullet in Ovi and ruin his plans, because without Ovi they don't get paid either.
• If all the bridges are blocked, why not just swim across the river?
