- Pretty much the reason Nicholas resides in America is because his dad has passed away, and has to take care of his two sisters. So, if his dad hadn't died, how did Nicholas expect to have a relationship with Alex? Nicholas lived in Australia, and Alex in America. I know long distance relationships are a thing, but separate continents? It's even more confusing when in a Season 2 episode, Nicholas mentions he was planning on pursuing an entomology career in Australia, before his father died.
- Alex and Nicholas first got together with the intention of their relationship being a time-limited fling. The plan was for them to go on a couple dates, have sex, and then continue on with their separate lives on separate continents. Alex knew from the outset that Nicholas lived in Australia and was only in town to visit. This is of course not what actually happened.
