  • Why exactly has Kingpin lost his shit and why now?
    • As mentioned on the main page, it's because he's finally realized about the mass mind-wipe of Daredevil's identity (during Charles Soule's preceding run) and how he was affected by it.
    • Within the context of Zdarsky's run as a whole, this has also been building for a while. Fisk has been put through the wringer physically, emotionally, and mentally (thanks to the Stromwyns and their schemes). By marrying Typhoid Mary, Fisk (and Matt) hoped he'd regained a semblance of peace... only to discover the mind-wipe and to push all of Fisk's buttons.
  • Why is U.S.Agent working for Fisk? I get that Walker is dumb, but this is ridiculous, even by his standards.
    • Devil's Reign: Villains For Hire #2 addresses this. Walker is actually working for the Feds, who're trying to build a case against Fisk.
  • Why is Agony working for Fisk? Gemma Shin is higher up on the political — and literal — food chain than Wilson Fisk, so she shouldn't be afraid of or intimidated by him, and Agony's presence on the team so soon after the events of King in Black and especially Extreme Carnage — where she was caught on camera eating people and melting faces — wouldn't do Fisk's ratings any good. Furthermore, in Venom #2 Arthur Krane's announcement of the Friends of Humanity's support for Fisk is predicated on a hardline anti-symbiote stance that Agony's presence on the team — even as the liaison for the Friends of Humanity — jeopardizes, so by featuring her on the roster Fisk would risk losing their support at a time when anti-symbiote sentiment is at an all-time high. That Agony also technically works for Carnage raises the question of what Cletus stands to gain by helping Fisk's takeover?
    • With more of the heavy-hitters out of commission due to the Powers Act, Carnage would be free to continue his plans of mass murder with minimal risk of running afoul of a hero that could stop him, and it's not like he'd be one to care about bad publicity; he was the one that caused that anti-symbiote sentiment to skyrocket through his assassination of Senator Peter Krane. Also keep in mind that his original plan was to take over Krane and work his way through the political system. What's to say he couldn't do the same with Agony as an inside agent?
