• To Korean speakers, what does "Namjon yeobi" (남존 여비) actually mean? *Hyun-ae translates it as "Men are honoured, women are abased". However, *Mute (who admittedly is biased against *Hyun-ae) calls that translation 'completely liberal and messed up' and translates it as "male superiority".
  • *Hyun-ae is right. *Mute is also right, in a literal sense, because in Confucianism, they matched males with yang and women with yin, which correspond to the sky and the earth.
