* Randall Boggs in ''WesternAnimation/MonstersInc'', who is also a green-eyed monster, had grown incredibly tired of being second-best to the Mike-Sully team in scaring children. We find out in ''WesternAnimation/MonstersUniversity'' that he ''was'' Sully's superior in scaring for some time but was humiliated by Sully at his biggest chance to prove himself, and in front of practically the entire student population, that he developed a permanent grudge to Sully.

* [[spoiler:Prince Hans of the Southern Isles]] is both a literal ''and'' metaphorical case in ''WesternAnimation/Frozen2013'', having emerald-green eyes. Living under the shadow of 12 older brothers, he is the SpareToTheThrone back home. DrivenByEnvy due to having a SuccessfulSiblingSyndrome, it leads him to develop a selfish desire to become the king of another country by any means possible so he can rub it in his brothers' faces.

* Bowser's growing hatred of Mario in ''WesternAnimation/TheSuperMarioBrosMovieMovie'' stems from the fact Peach likes the plumber more than the King of Koopas. He sees Mario as a rival suitor intentionally trying to steal "his girl" and make him unhappy, and decides to make it personal when he [[spoiler:ends up in Brooklyn at the story's climax]]. The irony is that Mario is only with Peach to rescue Luigi, whom Bowser has held captive in his castle, and isn't interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with the princess (for now at least).

* Chick Hicks, the villain of ''WesternAnimation/{{Cars}}'', is a bright green racecar. His envy of The King's success wouldn't be such a problem if it wasn't so personal. What he does on the final lap demonstrates just how much it's twisted him.

* ''WesternAnimation/{{Hercules}}'': [[EveryoneHatesHades Hades]] is [[TheResenter resentful]] [[DrivenByEnvy and envious]] of how the Greek pantheon gives his older brother Zeus HundredPercentAdorationRating while he is [[ZeroPercentApprovalRating virtually hated and despised on Olympus]]. All of the gods are not happy at his appearance at Hercules's birth ceremony, and his lame pun is met with scowls. But when Zeus makes a similar lame joke about Hades's workaholic nature, the pantheon bursts into laughter. The resentment causes him to find a way to overthrow his brother and become the king of Olympus.

* ''WesternAnimation/{{Cinderella}}'': The reason why [[WickedStepmother Lady Tremaine]] abuses Cinderella is that she's "bitterly jealous of Cinderella's charm and beauty." The same is probably true for the ugly stepsisters too. Also, like the Queen in ''WesternAnimation/SnowWhiteAndTheSevenDwarfs'', Lady Tremaine literally has green eyes.

Ironically despite his rage at Quasimodo for "falling under the gypsy's spell" (like him) Frollo doesn't any moment of jealously towards Phobeus her actual LoveInterest, unlike the book where he almost killed Phoebus upon seeing him about to have sex with Esmeralda. Perhaps it’s because, unlike in the book, Frollo might actually [[UnknownRival be unaware that Esmeralda and Phoebus are in love.]]

When the [[IncorruptiblePurePureness Creature Purest of Heart]], the one responsible for choosing the next Guardian of the Moon, chooses the titular Mune over him, Leeyoon's envy [[spoiler:attracts the snake spirits, who proceed to corrupt him with their power]]. [[spoiler:As it turns out, the Creature Purest of Heart was right to choose Mune over Leeyoon after the moon dies on his watch]]. He gets over it by the end of the film.
