• "Helicopter" from Drums and Wires is a humorously slanted song about a guy with an unrequited crush on a promiscuous woman. It contains several Puns ("She's got to be obscene to be ob-heard", "I object to all the air male that she pick up"). Towards the end of the song, Andy starts getting increasingly manic and hammy in his performance, doing things like stretching out the word "round" into "row-WOW-WOW-WOW-wahwahwah!". It's a pretty silly song all round and it's hard not to smile listening to it.
• "The Road to Oranges and Lemons", a puppet show put on by the band which details the history of XTC up to that point, absolutely revels in its Stylistic Suck.
• The time Andy and Colin visited the Unknown Museum in California.
