Funny / Who's Left Behind? Kayoko's Diary

• Kisaburo trying to discreetly enter the house with his siblings' help, knowing the trouble he would be in if their parents saw him covered in mud, he even makes Kayoko smell his dirty and smelly shoes. He is inevitably caught red-handed.
• Kayoko sticking her tongue out at the statue next to the entrance to the building where she goes for her disastrous music lessons. The statue clearly giving her an outlet for her frustration with her teacher and peers since it can't react like they would.
• Kisaburo attempting to discreetly run away by jumping from rooftop to rooftop and trying to get Kayoko to cover for him. Their father sternly but calmly interrogates Kayoko as to Kisaburo's whereabouts only to quickly get his answer when they see Kisaburo through the window.
• Although it is not funny for Kayoko, her trying to avoid bursting into tears when she trips over her new kimono and crashes into a screen door, knocking it over, proves amusing for her family. This is probably because they are impressed at how brave she's trying to be after they told her to start trying to be so instead of continuing to be a crybaby.
