Despite all of the dark revelations and the implications of surviving a death game filled with monstrous versions of Pokemon, The World Ends With You: Espoir De Vie does share a few laughs now and then.

Day 2
Jeunesse
- Turns out that Lumiose City's Reaper Networking Service has a web show called Montre Reaper: Jeu. For some reason, Sandre treats her show as The Dreaded due to the show's host, Vivace Announce as he hits his head on the glass window several times and spends the rest of the web show time covering his ears in frustration.
- Augustine tries to equip all of the starter pins he had on him. It ends up literally exploding on his face.
- During the Psych-induced explosion, Motif and Allegro (who are currently in the Realground) were disturbed by it as the latter accidentally spills his coffee on the woman's dress. He ends up with a hand mark on his face after that.
- Turns out this isn't the first time someone botches up a Pin tutorial.
- For his first proper battle, Augustine tries to use the new pins against the Froakie Noise (namely the Psychokinesis and Shockwave. Unfortunately, nothing happened with both pins, leaving him staring at the Noise like an idiot before the inevitable.Augustine: Oh, this is going to hurt...
Day 3
Jeunes et Vieux
- After Augustine and Sandre show their Player Pins as proof they are Players, the muscled Player, Leo (who suspects the latter as a Reaper), seems to not believe them as he yells. Instead, he lowers down and bows without a hint of an indoor voice.
- Leo attempts to convince the female Reaper to put down the wall. It goes well than you expected.
- When they're confronted by a Bewear and Froakie Noise, Leo pulls out a secret technique of his own. And by secret technique, it means that he runs away as fast as he can, Jonathan Joestar-style. Both Hayate and Ronald are not happy about it.Ronald: Of course you had to choose that dumb option! (chases his partner)Hayate: (while following them) Do you even have time for a Gogo reference?!
- Even Augustine and Sandre are too confused about what the hell did they witnessed.
Méfiance
- For some reason, Hayate isn't very keen to show off his pin to anyone. But turns out, it isn't because his pin is very powerful. It just has a cutesy pin with a chibi Dreepy spewing out small projectiles. Even his partner chuckles when he mentions the real reason to Augustine and Sandre.
Révélations Brisées
- During a fight against an army of Noise who are attracted to Shauna and her friends' argument, Hayate learns that the only way they can diffuse the argument is to get a meme. He's not joking.
- After a few confused glances from his friends, Hayate becomes embarrassed and tells them to scan their minds to find the meme in a most serious tone.
