• Road Dogg once received a legitimate larynx injury that was going to prevent him for several weeks from talking louder than a whisper. Given that he always did the intro, this was a problem, as evidenced when in their first post-injury match Billy Gunn tried to give the "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls..." spiel, but kept blowing the lines because he'd never said them before. On that week's WWE SmackDown, they went to the ring with James carrying several pieces of posterboard under his arm. He proceeded to kneel by the ropes and toss them aside one at a time, cue card style, and Gunn gave a flawless rendition of their intro.
