Terra
- After much anticipation and preparation by the people of Mlml, the FaZoon make their appearance and gift the Fnrr people with a recipe for soup. Pktk makes a note of the recipe and prepares it for himself, going on to insist to everyone that it's really good soup.
- A G'grk soldier hunting for Terra ends up face to face with a dangerous predator, and the narrator explains how the G'grk pride themselves on being skilled warriors and hunters as he bares his fangs and readies to fight the beast. The narrator then notes that they killed off all the dangerous predators in their homeland many generations before, so none of the living G'grk have any experience or knowledge in how to actually fight any such creature, shortly before his demise.
- Terra is fleeing a cloaked G'grk battle orb, and Lbbp is out looking for her after he discovers she's run off. Two problems: He can't see the cloaked orb to know Terra is being chased, and Terra is mad at him, so his attempt to meet her mid-air is foiled when she shoots past him at full speed while yelling at him. In the audiobook, her words are accompanied by a doppler shift:Terra: goooOOO AWWAAaayy...
- A couple of the teachers at the lyceum jury-rig a jump engine to launch a G'grk battle orb and its crew suddenly into space, killing most of them instantly. The few that survive long enough to see the ship disintegrate in high altitude pray to the Occluded Ones, thanking them for a particularly interesting death.
Terra's World
- Terra discovers that Billy's new friend, a lovely blonde who seems quite taken with him, is actually an alien infiltrator. She gives him a Techno Babble explanation about how she spotted the flaw in the disguise due to how the rain interacted with it, but the narration notes that mostly she just found it suspicious that such an attractive girl was interested in Billy at all. She feels it best not to tell him the truth about that.
- The G'grk Colonel teases Terra about the time she killed one of his soldiers. She testily reminds him that he was killed by the wildlife and she actually had nothing to do with it, other than busying herself trying to get away from him.
Terra's War
- When they suddenly find their ship in a space battle, Billy suggests raising the Deflector Shields. Terra has some bad news she's evidently been waiting for the right moment to share with her enthusiastic friend:Terra: Billy, there’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you. Don’t be alarmed, but...Billy: What?Terra: There’s no such thing as deflector shields.
- The FaZoon are disappointed to learn that the Fnrr didn't appreciate nor take advantage of the recipe they gave them for a Super Serum. Terra irately points out that they never actually explained to the Fnrr that that's what the soup was for.
