  • For a coup where the gang needs a safe blown up, they enlist the help of Benny's brother, Dynamit-Harry. Harry has, however, just quit drinking, and his level of competence has dropped severely. He first electrocutes Egon and Benny, then he manages to blow all the fuses, and then, just as Egon is screaming abuse at him in the darkness, the old night watchman turns the power back on, blowing the charges and sending Egon, Benny and Harry flying through the room.
  • Benny's understanding of economy can be shaky:
Egon: Why do you think there are people ready to pay a hundred million Deutsche Mark for that roll of film?
    Benny: ...Is it porn?
  • Egon, Benny, and Kjeld needs to get past Bøffen and his big guard dog, and for that they need a piece of ripe cheese:
Benny: (unwraps the cheese) Holy cow, it stinks!
Kjeld: The cheesemonger calls it "Old Olsen".note  It tastes wonderful with lard and aspic.note
Benny: (grins) Bloody hell, Egon. They named a cheese after you.
    Egon: Oh, spare me.
    • The gang proceeds to hold the cheese in front of the aircondition. Bøffen thinks that the dog has farted and kicks it out, and the gang sneaks past the guard booth while he is occupied.
      • Later in the film Bøffen has left the dog in the booth to guard a tied up Egon. Benny holds the cheese in front of the aircondition again, and Kjeld goes into the booth and blames the dog ("Shame on you! Bad dog!"), who thinks it has messed up again and leaves with its tail behind its legs.
  • From Olsen-bandens sidste bedrifter:
    • Yvonne's bizarre lectures are a high point in every film. For instance, her reaction when Kjeld has timidly suggested that they might have to cancel their trip to Mallorca, since Egon has stood them up, and they have no money whatsoever:
Yvonne: Kjeld — I will say this one thing: I have put up with a lot from your side over the years. By God, it hasn't been cake and rainbows, and no bed of roses neither. But this? This I will NOT put up with! You see, there comes a time in the life of every woman, where it is not enough for her to be a wife and mother — where she has to flower, and unfold, and be a woman. And that time came already last year. And if it doesn't come again soon — then I will become FRUSTRATED! And I promise you that it will be on your head, like a thief in the night!
    • After years of dealing with dogbrains and dumbasses, Egon's mind finally snaps when he learns that Yvonne has sold the bureau where the stolen jewels were hidden. He reverts to childhood, crawls around on the floor, sucks his cigar like a pacifier, and screams "pee-pee head" at Benny. It is utterly hilarious, and Ove Sprogøe won a well-deserved Bodil (The Danish version of an Academy Award) for the role that year.
  • The awesome coup in Olsen-Banden ser rødt where the gang breaks into a theater unnoticed by smashing and demolishing walls in perfect tune with the music repeatedly cuts to the orchestral pit, where the musicians are at first surprised, then more and more exited about how much "oomph" they suddenly have. By the end of the piece, the conductor is in complete rapture, singing happily along with the music.
  • While Vanheden quickly starts taking the situation more seriously, his initial reaction to seeing Sickan Bound and Gagged to the clock tower in Jönssonligan får guldfeber is comically casual:
Vanheden: 'Ey, Sickan, what'cha doing up there?
  • From Jönssonligan På Mallorca:
    • Sickan is describing some bad guys, and Harry recognizes them.
      Harry: The lizard and Brother!Elaboration
      Sickan: What? Your brother?!
      Harry: [pauses] N-no, the Lizard's...
    • The gang uses one of the walls in Doris' backyard to do some measuring needed for the heist by standing on each others' shoulders, with Sickan at the top. Unfortunately, Harry and Vanheden have to run away when the police shows up looking for them, and leave Sickan hanging from the side of the roof... which happens to belong a very muscular guy and his girlfriend, who are sunbathing on the roof and mistake him for a peeping tom.
Bodybuilder: God damn it, a creepy old man! (forces Sickan to let go of the edge of the roof, leading to him landing crotch first on a pipe sticking out of the wall)
    • The heist itself; the security around the King's Cross inside the Palma Cathedral are understandably extreme, considering it's a priceless religious relic made from gold, silver and jewels. You can't even take photographs inside the chamber because the film is automatically destroyed (which also prevents anyone from making any illegal copies)... but there's a small gap beneath the podium where the cross is kept, which no one could possibly use unless they're as short as the Lizard, and just happen to have access to the one set of photos in the world that could let anyone make a fake cross. So, the Lizard and Brother pull all of this off, by disguising themselves as Saudi Arabians with a fake upper body hidden by robes, leaving Lizard inside the cathedral overnight to steal the Cross with no one the wiser... only for the Jönsson Gang to beat Brother there the next day with a similar disguise, fooling Lizard into leaving with them, then dropping the tiny guy through a sewer grate outside, and fleeing with the Cross.
    • Just after the climax, Wall-Enberg and Margot Germann are waiting in Germann's mansion for Lizard and Brother. Wall-Enberg assures her that the two are "professionals", and that the plan surely went off without a hitch. Cue Brother drifting by, hanging by one leg from a hot air balloonContext
      Brother: It was a bust!
      Germann: (to Wall-Enberg) Professionals, huh?!
