- Microwaving the hamster, then giving it to Weird Ed.
- Maybe even funnier in the Meteor Mess Fan Remake, where instead of killing the character, he throws them in the dungeon, implying he isn't enraged, he's extremely weirded out and trying to keep them from talking to him again.
- When you call Nurse Edna in the PC version, she asks if it's a prank call, but she's sure it's not because there's no heavy breathing. Then she starts demonstrating it. This was changed in the NES version to her thinking Dead Cousin Ted is calling and starting to gossip with him.
- Dr. Fred freaking out over the pool draining and an impending meltdown."How can I take over the world when I'm on a budget? I always get stuck with cheap equipment. Boy, is the Meteor going to be pissed!"
- Doubly funny if you drain the pool or turn off the power a second time. It almost makes him into an Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain:
"How can I take over the world when these things keep happening?!?" - You can give the Meteor a publishing contract. And it goes on a talk show because it's so successful. Let that image sink in for a second.
- It gets even funnier. If you call the Meteor police, then give the Meteor the contract before he arrives, he barges onto the set and arrests it in front of millions of people, not caring that it's turned over a new leaf. Developer's Foresight at its finest.
- Meta example: Ron Gilbert has pointed out in a postmortem on this game that at one point, Toys R' Us recalled the game from their store shelves due to objectionable content. Ron figured it was any number of things in the game, like the ability to microwave a hamster, Nurse Edna's innuendo, some of the mild language, the gore, absolutely anything... no, it was the fact that the word "lust" was written on the back of the box. That was it. That was all that was considered scandalous enough to raise a stink. Needless to say, he is still laughing about that to this day.
