- While it's part of quite a serious examination of the homophobia found in Black British communities, there is a funny moment in the first episode: Roscoe loses it with his homophobic parents and decides to run away. He announces this by wearing full drag, bursting into a room full of his parents, aunts and uncles, and flicking them the V-Sign.
- Roscoe: I'm going now, so thank you very much, and if you need to forward any mail, I'll be staying at 23 Piss-Off Avenue, London, W-Fuck. Thank you, and goodbye.
- As a capper, his auntie starts laughing uproariously.
- When Colin meets Henry in a bar in the first episode they have a very lovely chat about Colin's sexuality and his nervousness over the whole thing. Henry gently reassures Colin that he won't tell a soul. Cue this:
- Henry: Another drink for the bender!
- Roscoe attends a dinner with Garrison and two other Tory MPs, each of whom has their own twink.
- Roscoe telling Garrison what he did in the coffee meant for Thatcher.
