  • During the opening scene in 1944, as Indy is about to be hanged:
  • Indy needs to hijack a car to catch up to the train carrying the stolen artifacts. Disguised as a Nazi soldier, you'd think he'd just knock out a Nazi to take his ride. Instead, he simply walks up to a car and politely knocks on the window to alert the driver. The driver notices him, casually rolls down the window, and asks Indy "Ja?"… and then Indy knocks him out to take the car. Now in the driver seat, Indy is about to drive off, when the back doors are opened and cue some officers entering the car, mistaking Indy for the driver.
  • In Tangier, after Indy snatches the Dial, he tries to use his whip to scare off the crooks who were auctioning for it. Then they all draw guns on him. Indy's Oh, Crap! expression before ducking for cover is hilarious.
  • At one point, Indy and Helena need to dive to the bottom of the ocean to try and find the next piece of the Dial. Before they get in, Helena points out a patch of churning water, which Indy's friend Renaldo points out is an eel while explaining how to avoid being bitten. Teddy points out that they look like snakes, causing Indy to whirl on him and, in a voice that is clearly just barely holding back panic, say "No they don't!", to which Helena offers him a drink to calm his nerves.
Helena: Private Brandy, reporting for duty.
  • Within the Cave of Dionysus, Indy stops climbing for a moment. When Helena asks why he stopped, he replies that he's thinking about what he's doing "forty feet in the air with crap shoulders, crumbling vertebrae, a plaque in one leg, and screws in the other." For all his badassery, Indy has nevertheless become a Grumpy Old Man at this point.
  • Voller and his Neo-Nazi gang end up getting the Dial and travel back in time in the hopes of reaching Munich in 1939 AD, only to end up getting sent back to ancient Syracuse in 214 BC instead, and their plane gets taken down by ballista bolts flung by ancient Romans. Klaber's reaction to the insanity of it all, especially the way he calls out for Voller ("BOSS!!!") is hilarious and cathartic.
    • Voller himself also starts to freak out upon realising what has happened, yelling about 'how he can't be there' and looking like he's on the brink of tears.
    • What's the first thing Archimedes does when encountering Voller's charred corpse? Steal his watch. Archimedes is even wearing it in his crypt!
  • After Helena desperately tries, and fails, to get Indy to see reason, that even if he does survive the gunshot wound, it's too dangerous for him to stay in the past and alter history, she just knocks him out and drags him back to the present. And apparently, Indy doesn't wake up until he's back in his apartment in 1969, fully bandaged and treated. Damn, that girl packs a helluva punch.
