When Akihiko bluntly tells Uenoyama that his face is basically screaming "I'm in love with Mafuyu," it cuts to Uenoyama laying face down on the ground as if Akihiko's words have literally knocked him over.
A drunken Akihiko crawls onto Haruki in bed... and then starts snoring. Haruki's face when he realizes that Akihiko has fallen asleep is priceless.
The entirety of Uenoyama's reaction to Mafuyu confessing his love to him. Words can't even describe it. It has to be seen to be believed.
Ritsuka Uenoyama, although he may seem as calm as the surface of a quiet lake, actually has quite the storm raging within him.
After Haruki gives Mafuyu and Uenoyama his "blessing", the two younger boys are quiet for a moment before silently walking over to him and stoically hugging him in perfect synchronization, all while he freaks out.
The band's first photo shoot hits a snag when they turn out to be unable to keep a straight face when getting their pictures taken, with Take eventually snapping and instating a 500 yen fee for each time they crack up.
Akihiko:(clearly trying very hard to keep his expression stoic) Please don't. The more you tell us we can't laugh... the more I want to burst out laughing...
Immediately after Uenoyama and Haruki start snickering in quick succession, with Take yelling at them. All the while, Mafuyu obediently, patiently stands there perfectly composed.
Later while the band looks at the pictures, Uenoyama and Mafuyu can be seen casually tugging the tablet back and forward between themselves.
Uenoyama finally cracks and admits how embarrassing the whole matter is, with Akihiko snapping at him not to say it's embarrassing... because he's been trying not to admit that this entire time. Haruki then buries his face in his hands and moans about how smug he looks in the pictures.
Haruki: Let's stop hurting each other!
While Mafuyu and Uenoyama are doing their modern literature homework, Mafuyu mentions how the book they're reading isn't exactly "modern", as the author was born in the 20th century. He seems to have forgotten that Haruki, Akihiko and Yatake were also born in the 20th century, and thus, Mafuyu unintentionally called them old.
Upon being greeted by a flushed, sickly Mafuyu, Uenoyama's face crumples up as a (completely silent) explosion effect goes off over his chest, seemingly implying that the sight has given him a heart palpitation.
Uenoyama manages to remain calm as Mafuyu invites him inside, but he's practically screaming in his inner monologue (all the while still smiling serenely) about how the house smells like Mafuyu.
When Haruki and Akihiko begin dating, Akihiko announces their relationship status to Uenoyama and Mafuyu with the same formality as though they had just become engaged. Uenoyama responds by loudly rejecting their relationship and bemoaning that their band was doomed, while Haruki sheepishly apologizes. Mafuyu, however, congratulates them.
