- The girls are in the midst of yet another screaming match at the beginning. Lady Carlton shuts them up by entering the room and handing them a letter to read:Amanda: "Shut your mouths, you hysterical bitches".Lady Carlton: I sit, at my desk, endeavouring, to create the novel, and instead madame, I am raped in both ears.
- "Men-stru-a-tion, what on earth is going on in here?".
- Shelley's attempt to improv a scene from Gone with the Wind goes utterly tits-up thanks to her horrible accent, Amanda's ideologies getting in the way of her performance and Jennifer's natural incompetence:Shelley: I'm en'ering the ballroom and cue me. "Whahy, Rhett, you look strangely alahve. How do Ah look?". Cue you.Amanda: Scarlett, you're a good woman. Tear off your chains and get a job. Forget about me because I'm a macho, sexist pig!
