• The opening lines where Barney, Baby Bop and BJ can be heard over the blank screen just before the film begins
  Barney: Oh, boy! Looks like everybody's here!
  BJ: Oh, man! This is gonna be so cool!
  Baby Bop: Oh, I can't wait to eat some popcorn and sing along! Oh, and see the movie!
  Barney: Well, then, here we go!
  Baby Bop: Roll 'em!
  (film starts)
• The opening scene where the family's car and Abby and Marcella mock Cody with the Barney doll
  Cody: Get the doll out of my face.
  Abby & Marcella: Talk to the hand, cause the face ain't home. Leave a message at the tone. Beep!
• Cody steals the Barney doll and hides him in the bathroom. When the girls demand him to give Barney back, Cody sarcastically suggests they use their imaginations. As Cody scoffs at the girls, the shower suddenly turns on by itself and the tub slowly gets weighed down on the posts. Then the curtains give way and full-sized Barney steps out!
  Barney: A towel, please? (Marcella hands him one) Thank you, Marcella.
  Marcella: He knows my name!
  Barney: Oh, and thank you, Cody. It's so nice to have a shower after a long car trip.
• When Cody tries to explain Barney to his grandparents:
  Cody: Barney isn't just a little doll. He's very big!
  Grandpa: Oh sure, he's big now, but you just wait. These fads come and go.
• When Cody steps in a cowpie during "Old MacDonald."
• When Barney and the kids discover the egg, Marcella suggests the egg probably came from a giant chicken. Everyone just stares at her. Even Barney, whose facial expression is always a smile, looks at Marcella like she's lost her mind.
• While Barney and his friends search for the magic egg, Barney talks to a pair of clown shoes with his feet.
• The birdwatcher Ms. Goldfinch calling Barney "a purple pruned Peruvian parrot".
• There's a Credits Gag that reads "No dinosaur was harmed during the making of this film".
