Yoko watching the Girl From Nowhere episode "Lost and Found" is quite meaningful. The plot boils down to a lonely boy who only asks Nanno to stay with him, but in the end she must leave him behind. Nanno is Yoko who is doing things for a thrill and TK is Yusho. But unlike the episode where Nanno walks away from TK and he understands that this is karma for his own misdeeds, it's Yusho who leaves Yoko behind with no explanation. No wonder she's crying at the end.
Why does the monitor in Kaiba Corp start glitching just when the story gets into Synchro? Because outside of not wanting anyone to see what's going on, it's because Yusho never entered Synchro itself or it doesn't want Yugi to learn what happened to Yusei.
