Fridge / Young Justice: Darkness Falls

  • Luthor's eventual betrayal of The Light makes sense when you learn what Vandal Savage's plan was in regards to Darkseid: allow him to strip mine Earth's resources and then leave them in charge when he leaves. Of all the members of the Light, Lex would have the most to lose from this plan, especially since he was essentially funding the Light on his material back. When he talked about having more practical goals for the Light, he was referring to the fact that he wasn't interesting in resetting the board in order to move forward. Hence him eventually planting the seeds of Darkseid and the Light's eventual downfalls all with a goal to keep the Earth alive.
