Fridge Brilliance:

  • Seems a little forced at first to give the Stooges such a concrete backstory as to being raised on an orphanage, sheltered from the rest of the world, but it works well in the movie's benefit. By making the Stooges unaware of the modern world, they avoid modernizing too much these classic characters (which could in turn rob them of their classic essence), while still making a film that could be digestible enough for current audiences, adapted to more contemporary styles of humor (and whom on a first impression could find the Stooges "outdated").
