Fridge / The Song of Achilles

We learn that Achilles son Pyrrhus was taken by Thetis to be raised by her. Not much is given about what his childhood was like but we later learn in the sequel Circe just what kind of environment he would be raised in. Circe, a child of one of the most powerful gods, was bullied and humiliated for being considered ugly by god standards and for having a mortal's voice. One shudders to think how Pyrrhus, a fully mortal grandchild of a minor goddess, would have been treated. It almost makes you feel sorry for him.
