• Dana's backstory shows us she never had any interest in becoming the next Wonderella like her mom - and even though she enjoys the perks of being Wonderella, her half-assery at the job makes sense.
• In Dr. Shark's first appearance, he tells us that he was trying to use shark stem cells to cure cancer. The brilliance comes in when you remember that sharks are known for their excellent immune systems, and are one of the few species that are believed not to get cancer (which is false in real life, but makes perfect sense here). So using shark stem cells might not be so random.
• In the strip where Dana is split into an aggressive self and a passive self, the aggressive one suggests that they screw to join back together, and the passive one claims she is straight in response. In another strip, it's claimed that Dana is a closeted bisexual, so maybe being split in two created a lesbian Dana and a straight Dana.
