• Fridge Logic: Seems odd that the villagers would give away clues that would incriminate themselves.^note This only applies to the 1999 re-release. In the 1998 version, the clues are zapped down by the ancients rather than being provided by the villagers themselves.
  • Fridge Brilliance: Until one realises that they were blackmailed into doing so, so of course they would try not to let the blackmailer know about it, they want the blackmailer to think the Cluefinders are finding the treasures themselves.
