In the early episodes, Al has a pet pig. Later on, we don't see it. We can only hope that it was sent to a farm sanctuary and not what most farm animals are destined to become.
Frank and Carol's love story started out with him stalking her to her vacation, then marrying her after a whirlwind few days. At some point in the series, he asks her with complete seriousness how long couples should date before they marry, displaying, as stated on the main page, a complete lack of understanding of how relationships work. And this is someone who's already been married! Which implies that he put his first wife through this. Perhaps she left because she felt completely smothered and trapped in the marriage.
