  • "Strawberry Hill" usually strikes a listener as a very uplifting song that is about someone who has depression. Repeated listens and a little research reveal the narrator of the song is actually about Kozelek suffering from suicidal depression. After looking into the tons of Enforced Method Acting shoved into the album and all the themes expressed on Rollercoaster the song becomes all the more of a Tear Jerker with each listen.
  • "Uncle Joe" has a lyrical example of this. See if you can spot the band name drop here:
"And I'm not very well read,
And you say that I will lose my house,
And can you spare me of my pain,
And can you spare me of my tears."
