Fridge / Premarital Relationship

Fridge Brilliance:

  • While it may seem boneheaded to think someone who writes works of fiction would be an actual expert in that field, especially without carefully analyzing the background for an actual degree or license, using Choi Yuri as a "relationship expert" makes sense in that an actual licensed counsellor would likely turn Yu Jisuk and Sang-Hyun's grandfather over to the police, for Sexual Extortion on two minor teens alone, not to mention the CCV surveillance on the home the two have been forced to reside in.

Fridge Horror:

  • Yu Suh-Eun recognizing the Myung Group employees during the "Waterpark" part of Yuri's "Date scenerio" in chapter 11 is one thing. Knowing that her grandfather, or one of his subordinates was behind their agressive behavior? And that they were forced into it? Asking if they were properly compensated for their time? Is the Myung Group a corporation or a crime syndicate?!
  • Chapter 18's ending is worse. Suh-Eun was hardly surprised her grandfather bought out an entire high-school just to screw with her life, and the lives of those around her. This means he's done this kind of crap before. How many lives has that S.O.B. ruined in a fit of pique, just because he felt like it?
  • Jung So Yeon's father is introduced as a "retired" Yakuza boss who takes an immediate dislike to Han Sang-Hyun for the "crime" of being friends with his daughter, accusing the boy of trying to seduce her just to worm his way into the family's influence and status. He forces Sang-Hyun into a sword duel, and with a bamboo sword delivers strikes that leave craters in the pressure-treated lumber the dojo's floor is made of, saying he got that strong "on the field." Just how many people has the guy killed?
