  • Fridge Brilliance:
    • Why is Kent C. Koopa vulnerable to the Sleep status? Standing and guarding that one path into Koopa Village has to be exhausting. Not to mention, you can just take the Toad Town Tunnels and Kent C. is apparently too stupid to realize this.
    • Boos are basically ghosts, so someone like Tubba Blubba shouldn't be capable of eating them, let alone touch them, yet he can. How is this possible? It's already known that Bowser used the Star Rod to remove his heart to make him invincible, but to be clearer, Tubba Blubba's "invincibility" actually comes from the fact that he's really an undead zombie, so you can't kill something that's not alive. That's the real reason why he's capable of capturing the Boos. He's undead just like them, basically fighting fire with fire giving the Boos one more good reason to be afraid of the giant Clubba they've been scaring constantly.
      • He also has the same black sclerae as many of the undead enemy variants in the series implying that he's actually one of the undead.
    • Each Star Spirit provides a power which is particularly useful at some point in the following chapter:
      • Eldstar's Refresh restores 5 HP and FP, and cure poison which is most of your total for both at this point. Every enemy in Chapter 2 has at least 2 attacks as well as high HP and/or defense, spikes, or a combination of these, increasing the need to wipe them out quickly with FP moves and keep your stats topped up. The poison healing will come in handy with the Pokey Mummies you'll be fighting inside the ruins.
      • Mamar's Lullaby puts enemies to sleep. Clubbas in Chapter 3 come in large groups and have high HP and attack, but are weak to Sleep.
      • Skolar's Star Storm deals 7 points of piercing damage to all enemies. All of the non-boss enemies in Shy Guy's Toybox have exactly 7 HP, and General Guy has high defense which the attack pierces.
      • Muskular's Chill Out debuffs the enemy's attack by 3. Lava Piranha can deal 13 or more damage per turn, and can wipe you out in one to two turns if you don't debuff it with this and/or use Fire Shield and/or Water Block (even though the latter should be more than enough because Water Block is even more effective on fire attacks).
      • Misstar's Smooch heals 20 HP, which is the amount of damage Amazy Dayzees do. Flower Fields also has other high-damage enemies which deal 3-6 damage per turn, plus a boss who can deal up to 15 damage in a single hit.
      • Klevar's Time Out freezes enemies in place. Most of the enemies in Chapter 7 are weak to it, including Jr. Troopa whose basic attack deals a whopping 8 damage.
      • Kalmar's Up and Away instantly defeats weak enemies, making it useful for transversing past areas for missed secrets if you don't have Bump Attack. Even if you do have Bump Attack and your level is maxed out, Bowser's Castle still has many scripted fights against groups of enemies, making it useful for quickly clearing them away.

  • Fridge Horror:
    • The Star Spirits would ignore selfish wishes (like Bowser's ones like to kidnap Princess Peach and take over Mushroom Kingdom). What if a master manipulator is able to keep making seemingly harmless wishes, have them come true, and use the Star Spirits as unwitting pawns for their goal before they even realize?
