Fridge Brilliance

  • Many of the characters, especially Stroud and Rodriguez, show little surprise or disbelief that Michael has turned himself into a vampire. This makes sense however since while this universe is still developing and is not as interconnected as the MCU, the events of the Venom films are apparently now public knowledge while the Daily Bugle newspapers mention Black Cat, Rhino and Chameleon meaning that people are starting to realise that a scientist turning himself into a blood drinking monster isn't that impossible. As FBI agents Stroud and Rodriguez are especially likely to have encountered some strange things, so it makes sense that they are so accepting of the situation.
  • This review goes into detail how most people of the mid credits scene actually does make sense:
    • One complaint was that Adrian Toomes shouldn't have been transported into the Sony Marvel Universe due to the spell working the opposite way. However the rift didn't close unlike the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, it did as a matter of fact open, meaning that Toomes was teleported to the universe BEFORE Doctor Strange undid the spell. Why was he teleported out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe when the spell itself would primarily send villains from other Universes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Perhaps the spell had another side effect which would also send villains from their own universe to other universes which was only not mentioned in because it wasn't the top priority compared to the all the Super villains appearing all over the place.
    • Another source of criticism was that Toomes shouldn't have his Vulture suite after only a few days. However it is never established that the meeting between Toomes and Morbius is set right after Toomes got released from prison. So for all the audience knows it's actually several weeks or even months afterwards.
    • Why and how does Adrian Toomes assume that Spider-Man had something to do with him being transported to the the universe if the spell of Doctor Strange should have made him forget about Peter Parker identity? Well if one remembers the first scene of the rift they will notice how the rift didn't close unlike the end of No Way Home. Instead it OPENED which was around the time where the whole world still knew about Spider-Man'secret identity but it also meant that Adrian Toomes was teleported before the spell could erase his memory of the Peter Parker. In other words: He does remember Peter Parker.
    • Why does Adrian Toomes assume that Spider-Man has anything to do with him being teleported in the first place? There were news reports of the chaos during No Way Home and it's safe to say that everyone would get to know about it, even prison.
    • Last but not least: What good is Adrian Toomes keeping his memory of Peter Parker when he's stuck in another universe? Considering that there are several iterations of Spider-Men, him knowing about the identity means that Toomes will have an easier fighting chance against whoever's Spider-Man he's going to deal in Sony's Marvel Universe.
    • The post-credits scene in this film also explains where Dane DeHaan’s Harry was during the events of No Way Home: in the MCU equivalent of Ravencroft.
  • Another common complaint about the mid-credits scene is that Toomes is way too blase about going to another dimension without his family. Well, maybe he's just happy that he's likely going to get out of prison. He could miss his family deep down, but his main concern is just that he's gotten is freedom.
  • Jared Leto was in his late forties (47 for the initial shoots and then 48 and 49 for the remaining reshoots) when the movie was being filmed, yet he plays a character who is likely supposed to be 35, given the flashback sequence at the beginning. And yet, this casting is totally believable! So one could joke that Jared Leto doesn't age...you could thus say he's immortal, much like a vampire.

Fridge Horror

  • If Toomes arriving in the SSU was because of Strange’s spell, does that mean that a random number of people from the MCU who knew Peter Parker was Spider-Man has now been displaced across the multiverse? If that’s true the best case scenario would be that they were sent to the SSU, Raimi-Verse or Webb-Verse. Worst case scenario is that they end up on the zombie universe from What If…? (2021) or any other reality where things go terribly wrong.
    • Also, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness introduces the phenomena of Incursions, in which one or more universes can be destroyed by factors such as displaced inviduals. So, even if random people from the MCU or SSU were to be transported into a relatively safe and harmless universe, they would still end up dying through the undoing of the realities.
