Fridge Logic

  • What's keeping the protagonist from being devoured by their own shadow?
    • Fridge Brilliance: They slowly are, just over a longer time than we see in-game. We know that people are subject to effects at all times (e.g., losing their hair, headaches when not in light), and the only shadow they're in contact with at all times is their own, therefore their own shadow is the source of the ongoing effects.
      • So why does my shadow eat me as such a slower pace than that of the box over there?
        • Possible Fridge Horror: Self-preservation. A shadow that eats its host doesn't "survive" as long than if it slowly killed it. This brings up that perhaps the shadows end up "alive" in a sense, perhaps even sentient.
