Most fans found the ending of the episode to be a What the Hell, Hero? moment for Kaeloo, since she seems almost happy that Mr. Cat is leaving Smileyland. But there's also the possibility that she was happy since if he left, she wouldn't be able to hurt him anymore.
In "Let’s Play Cowboys and Indians", Mr. Cat seems to like the idea of Kaeloo spanking him but winds up not getting said spanking, but in this episode, he doesn’t like it when she actually does spank him. In this particular instance, she emotionally manipulated him and then physically hurt him, which would not be a very pleasant experience contrasted with a spanking he asked for himself.
Punishments that the court hands out include being hanged and getting shot, but the "maximum punishment" ends up being a spanking. While this may sound milder than the others, to someone like Mr. Cat, a twelve-year-old who likes to think of himself as a mature "adult", what could be worse than having the Team Mom publicly announce that she was going to spank you like a little child?
