• Fridge Horror: A recurring element is that Andersen keeps trying to deliver a pair of children's shoes that he can't remember how he got. While the obvious explanation is that someone simply forgot, a darker interpretation is that the shoes belonged to a child who died after their parents delivered the shoes to Andersen, and they never found it in them to come back for them. Or maybe the parents or the entire family died.
