Fridge Brilliance

  • After seeing Hibiki's sheer punching talent, Nana reacts by proclaiming that they'll aim to make her a world champion for now. Hibiki obviously calls her out on that... But later it's shown that the Glory Gym is where Kaolan Wongsawat goes to: they already have a world champion who nonetheless will not help the others training due his main job being the bodyguard of the King of Thailand, Nana wants to make her a world champion and a trainer to better raise the other boxers.
  • After a while, Kengan Ashura characters start having cameos from time to time (chapter 112 even features the entire biker gang Ohma beat up early in his series), when early in the manga there were at most oblique references. Why? Easy: the Kengan Annihilation Tournament happened, keeping the fighters busy early on and then allowing them to be free to roam around.
    • Speaking of the biker gangs featured in chapter 112, Grandia and Blast Zone are surprisingly nice and Gina mentions Grandia's leader has suddenly retired. Grandia was the gang mauled by Ohma, the terrifying beating is likely responsible for their new character and their leader's retirement, while Blast Zone is the gang formerly led by the surprisingly Nice Guy Masami Nezu, they were nice guys to begin with.
  • Machio changing size by wearing or taking off his tracksuit, shredding it by flexing, and even appearing to have different sizes when almost naked all come from the same source: early bodybuilders were first and foremost circus strongmen who happened to have aesthetically pleasant body proportions, and often dabbled in other types of circus entertainment, and Machio decided to emulate them by learning illusions centered on his muscles and sizes and how to shred his tracksuit.

Fridge Horror

  • These moments about Yakusha Kure are hilarious... Unless you've read Kengan Ashura and realize they're all unknowingly provoking a professional killer in disguise, whose daughter is described as a monster even by the standards of their clan of assassins.
