- Each suit in the deck provides a different type of power:
- The Heart cards give the power of body modification. The Heart is one of the symbols of the body.
- The Spade cards give the power of weaponry. The Spade was previously known as the the sword (in Portuguese) or the pike (in French and German).
- Wendy wields the Ace of Spades card, which is a sword.
- The Diamond cards gives unusual/money-related powers. The Diamond represents uniqueness and wealth.
- The Club cards gives nature/elemental powers. The Club was previously known as the clover (in French) or flower (in Italian).
