Why did the Reapers used massive humanoid robots for their infantry during the current cycle of the Reaper Wars in this fanfic instead of husks as per canon? The sheer strength and firepower of the Astartes had all but made husks obsolete. Given that the Reaper soldiers are roughly the same size as a Space Marine, it is possible that the Reaper soldiers are designed specifically to fight Astartes, despite the Reapers' mass effect technology being inferior compared to those wielded by the Space Marines.
Fridge Logic:
The name of choice for Admiral Anderson's dreadnought flagship, the SSV Thermopylae, is a little baffling to say the least since the Systems Alliance named their dreadnoughts after mountains instead of famous battles (which are used instead to name Alliance frigates). Thermopylae is a mountain pass located in Central Greece where the eponymous famous battle took place in which an alliance of Hellenic city-states lead by a contingent of 300 Spartans under the leadership of the latter's King Leonidas fought until their dying breaths to stop the invading Achaemenid Empire. That said, while there are mountain ranges near Thermopylae, there is no such mountain called 'Mt Thermopylae' per se.
