- Bartido choosing to study pretty much exclusively under Chartreuse could be because only alchemy interests him, but it could also be because Bartido is a spy who was sent to the academy to find the Philosopher's Stone. Calvaros is the only person who knows for certain where the Stone is, but he's sealed away. The next best source would be Calvaros's apprentice, Chartreuse.
