In episode three, Briggs gets Lauren evicted from Graceland because she lied to him and put the other agents in the house at risk. Kinda makes you shudder to think what he might do to Mike if he ever learned that Mike's whole reason for being there is to secretly investigate him.
Averted. Briggs takes it in considerable stride, and had in fact figured it out long before Mike told him.
