Fridge Brilliance

  • The Bombie's attacks are always preceded by his target bragging about their wealth. After all, it's not simply the wealth that activates the curse - it's the lack of humility.
  • Della clearly not taking issue with Louie being in charge of McDuck Industries can be seen either as too lenient considering she grounded him 1-2 episodes ago for his greedy and hurtful antics, or as her honoring Louie's win because he technically fulfilled the terms of the bet. But Della has taken to heart the idea of seeing angles to tackle situations, so telling Louie to give back the company is a Xanatos Gambit for her. If Louie gave Scrooge back his company, it means he's learned his lesson and that his punishment is over. If not, Louie's decision effectively continues his punishment; Louie is only punishing himself by thrusting himself in a position of huge responsibility, and even Della has the common sense to know that it will force him to do actual work and learn that being a trillionaire businessman is a lot harder than it looks. In fact, a major hint Della treated the whole situation as an extension of his previous punishment was that knowing Louie was too busy running McDuck Enterprises served as a convenient enough reason for her to excuse him (as in not bother him further) for a family activity she would otherwise want him to drop everything for. Of course, Della didn't know about the curse of the Bombie, but it still leads to Louie learning an important lesson in humility and responsibility, more than fulfilling what Della wanted to accomplish. Regardless of what happens, Louie ends up learning his lesson without Della having to strain their relationship any further, emphasizing his own personal growth.
  • Although the Bombie's character design was mostly changed into a grey-skinned dogface to avoid him looking like a racist caricature, it also makes sense considering the show's "no humans" rule - Bombie's appearance in the comic was too human-like for this show.
  • Louie thinks the Bombie's prison is a secret money bin and Launchpad notes that Scrooge probably didn't want anybody breaking in. Manny points out another possibility is that it may have been meant to keep something locked in. Of course, he would hold this logic as he used to be a monster that had to be locked up in Scrooge's garage.
  • Owlson describes Duckburg billionaires as reckless thrill-seekers, madmen with the minds of children, and actual children. The Duckburg billionaire we didn't see her work with, Mark Beaks, falls into both of the first two categories, something she's no doubt well aware of due to his obsession with publicity.
    • Before he ended up losing half his fortune, Doofus Drake would be another who falls under the third category.
  • Why did Penumbra decide to give out a transmission even though she fought to buy Donald time to get his message out? Penumbra thought Donald got killed escaping in Lunaris' prototype proven to be lethal to the occupant if used. Of course because Penumbra thought Donald was dead, Penumbra likely did not mention him to spare her feelings.
  • Louie painting a Pound symbol over Scrooge's dollar signs isn't just to match his first letter. It's that Pounds are typically more valuable than dollars, and even Euros, so it's his way of saying he surpassed his granduncle.
  • This episode clarifies why Scrooge McDuck is The Scrooge, and it's not just because it's his name. The vast majority of Scrooge's wealth is derived from revenue from McDuck Enterprises. As the Board explains to Louie, any money Scrooge spends has to be accounted for, and it has to come from somewhere. If Scrooge can't cover a purchase using his own personal finances, then it falls to the company to cover the difference, which means budget cuts. And the Board has no problem axing spending on defenses Scrooge has in place to protect himself, protect his family, and/or hold back The End of the World as We Know It.

Fridge Horror

  • Considering Della is too traumatized to look in a mirror, you'd have to wonder how she's been tending to her oral hygiene, or if she even has someone to brush her beak/teeth for her. Heck, if she brushes without a mirror, she is susceptible to missing several spots, which would lead to a lot of problems down the line.
    • She subsisted on infinite nourishment oxygen-generating chewing gum during her time on the moon. Given that it was specifically designed by Gearloose for survival purposes, it's probably sugarless gum, which is generally good for the mouth. Sure, excessive chewing wears teeth down, but given everything else it does, maintaining oral hygiene for you would actually be the most mundane thing about it.
  • Scrooge realizes he can’t shine shoes if most people in Duckburg don’t wear shoes. But, this would also mean the shoe industry wouldn’t have much success in Duckburg.
  • The Bombie may have succeeded in killing the richest person in the world before. And then, instead of resting, he may have gone for the one who became the next richest person. How many people died this way?
    • Had Glomgold managed to win the bet in the previous episode without Louie scamming him, it would have meant the Bombie would go after him. Since the only thing that could remove the Bombie curse is humility, which Glomgold completely lacks, he would have been doomed. Sure, it would have been karmic considering what a sociopath Glomgold is, but still a terrifying thought. In short, Glomgold would've lost either way, and since Scrooge isn't heartless enough to release the Bombie even though he lost, Glomgold's own stupidity would've somehow released the creature, just as Louie's did.
  • The Board of Directors having a button that cuts the Magical Defense Budget already set up and immediately suggest using it to pay for Louie's stool. Did they know about the Bombie and waiting for the chance to let it escape? Did they also know it will go after the Richest Duck in the World or just believe it was after Scrooge?
    • The Board may have known very well about the Bombie - and wanted to release it because they wanted to get rid of Louie. Considering the reveal in the next episode that they were Evil All Along makes it less surprising.
  • The last time we see Bombie is when he leaves Scrooge and Louie in peace at the end of the episode. And given the prison where he was held was destroyed, should we worry that there is some gargantuan monster running loose? Especially concerning the fact that we don't know if Bombie is still dangerous even after lifting the curse.
