• Why are the Vashta Nerada in the Library so aggressive and hungry? The Doctor says that they normally feed on roadkill. A dead body is unlikely to go unnoticed for long in a library, even the biggest library in the universe; the Vashta Nerada had very limited opportunities to feed, even before it all went wrong.
