Fridge Brilliance

  • In Justice League: War, Wonder Woman said she was standing in a pantheon of heroes, and gave each of her comrades her own mythic parallel:
    • She called Batman Hades, the fearsome lord of the underworld. Hades is also the god of wealth, which fits Bruce Wayne very well.
    • She called Green Lantern Apollo, the god of light
    • She called Flash Hermes, the fleet-footed god of travel and motion
    • She called Cyborg Hephaestus, the god of mechanics
    • And she called Captain Marvel Zeus, since both wield lightning.
    • She said Superman was like no god or mortal she'd ever known. But a lot of Christian motifs are associated with Superman, and as a deity of Greek myth origin she'd probably miss that.
    • And then other god-like beings showed up later, like Aquaman (a mythic counterpart to Poseidon) and later on the Old and New Gods Trigon and Darkseid made their appearance.

Fridge Logic

  • Teen Titans: The Judas Contract and Word of God reveals that the Teen Titans existed prior to the Justice League, due to Dick being Robin and Barry Allen being a member. Damian was likely 13 when he joined the Titans, and this film being set a year later would make him 14. This would mean that the prologue to the film took place a year before War, in which time Barry joined the CCPD as a forensic scientist despite having been part of a team of teenagers. This would imply he was either 18, or possibly 19, in the prologue, but somehow achieved a degree and a job that he wouldn't realistically be able to get at that age.
    • Damian could potentially have been 12 when he joined the Titans, since Beast Boy was 11 in the prologue and in Bad Blood it's mentioned that Talia and Bruce have known each other for 12 years. This would mean the prologue is set two years before War, though it doesn't change the improbability of Barry getting that degree and job at such a young age. He's unlikely to be younger since that would create too big of an age difference between him and Raven.
    • This raises two other issues since not only do neither Barry or Batman mention the Titans in War, but Barry seemed surprise to learn that Batman was in fact real despite having been teammates with his sidekick.
