  • The method used to kill Kusakabe is actually a twofold message. First, a chastisement to the JLF for allowing someone like Kusakabe to rise so high in the ranks and declaring them to be without honor. The letter to Tohdoh declares the JLF finished, a description that the Colonel does not dispute.
    • And second: A declaration of intent to Cornelia and proof that Zero is in fact serious about his manifesto. The letter asking her to eliminate them, meanwhile, states that Zero represents his own side, a new faction in and of itself, not that of Japan.

  • The use of the Carmina Burana as the Theme Music Power-Up Big Entrance for the SAZ is a dire insult to Britannia, once the lyrics and nature of the song are examined. The Carmina Burana is about the vicissitudes of Fortune, and how all things eventually are brought low. To Britannia, a country built on the ideal of Manifest Destiny, who were cast out from their home of England and likely have a national complex relating to the fear of being brought down once again? It is the ultimate slap in the face.
