Solomon Kane is a historical horror-fantasy franchise, centered around the titular Puritan hero. Kane was originally created by Robert E. Howard as the protagonist of "Red Shadows", a short story published by Weird Tales in 1928.
Howard revisited the character in other short stories and poems. After Howard's death, other authors stepped in to expand some of the unfinished stories and fragments he'd left behind.
Kane has subsequently appeared in several different ranges of comics, a film, a Role-Playing Game and a Board Game.
