This dark and ominous glare on the wall can only mean one thing.

Surprisingly enough, even a show like this had enough foreshadowing examples to warrant its own page. Here are some instances shown below.

     Season 1

Odd Todd

There were several signs of Odd Todd's personality before his official debut.
  • Certain episodes have had the number 43 appear across the series as an Easter Egg.
    • Double Trouble: In this episode, the number briefly appeared scraped onto Otto's desk, right before he covered it with his files. It's possible that used to be Todd's desk.
    • Skip Day: Appeared on a white cardboard box written in red, an agent was holding when the screen was zooming out towards the end of the episode.
    • How to Interrogate a Unicorn: When Ms. O was reading the file case, there's a blink-and-you-miss-it shot of a 43 towards the top.
    • Invasion Of The Body Switchers: During one scene when Olive was running after she got a gadget, a 43 is lit up on the wall across from the trophy room, with another agent staring at it. Complete with ominous music accompanying it.
    • The Odd Antidote: It's briefly scraped on the side of an x-ray in the Medical Bay.
    • Fistful of Fruit Juice: Bronze casts of various agents' hands can be seen hanging on the walls, but number 43's hand is missing.
  • Zero Effect: Towards the end of the episode, Oscar stated that he was glad Otto was on the squad, and that he was so much better the Olive's last partner. This foreshadows Olive's partner wasn't a pleasant person. That's right, even the series premiere has foreshadowing.
  • Life of O'Brian: The very beginning of the episode has two agents-in-training carrying a painting of a pie-shaped tornado, which causes Olive to shudder briefly.
  • The Briefcase: When Olive and Otto were fighting the Shapeshifter for the titular briefcase, the Shapeshifter stated that even though Olive knew a lot about her, she also knew something about Olive: her greatest fear, which happened to be pie. Otto had a right to be surprised by this, but Olive said it was a long story. Todd released a pie-nado that Olive had to stop once
  • The Potato Ultimato: After Otto accidentally ate Olaf's shrinking potato salad (long story), Oren stated that Olaf marked his bag with a O, meant to represent him. But Otto stated the all the agents had an O name. Then, Oscar tried to clarify that there was one agent whose name didn't begin with "O", only for Olive to interrupt him.

     Season 2

Otis' past

  • First Day: When Olympia and Otis went on their first mission as a team, Otis has shown to be unusually paranoid of ducks when he saw one crossing the road.
    Otis: I don't like ducks.
    • Also from that same episode towards the end, Oscar states that Otis didn't go to the Academy like most agents would.
Oscar: But there's no record of Otis going to the Academy.
Ms. O: That's because Otis didn't go to the Academy.
Oscar: Then, where did he come from?
  • Back To The Past: When the gang accidentally ended up in the future, Oscar was telling the agents not to come in contact with their future selves or they would cause a time-strophe and have to deal with the Time Sharks, but Otis was more worried about the ducks... again.
    Oscar: (Sees future selves) Duck!
Otis: (nervous) Where? (looks around the room until Oscar pulls him under a table)
  • Mid-Day In The Garden of Good and Odd: Olympia refused to see how villains were capable of redeeming themselves. and stated villains would always be villains. This is later used against her in the season 2 finale during Otis' trial.
    • Otis disagreed with Olympia and stated there was still good in Odd Todd. He's referring to his villainous duck ways and how Todd's capable of pulling a Heel–Face Turn as well.
  • Happy Halfiversary: Otis didn't know anything about the Halfiversary at the time mainly because he didn't read the Odd Squad manuals. This indicates that Otis wasn't your average Odd Squad agent.
    • When he was getting Mr. Lightning's autograph, he had another duck situation.
  • The Ninja Situation: Otis stated he wasn't comfortable pretending to be a villain for the case, since he and Ms. O had a little... discussion.
  • Xs and Os: Near the end of the episode, Xavier stated he had some suspicions about Otis and how he wasn't like the other agents.
    • During the 3rd Odd Tube episode, before Olympia announced her favorite villain (Jamie Jam), there's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene of Agent Otis. Wonder why that's the case?
  • Who Is Agent Otis?: Before the official reveal of Otis' past, there's another moment in the beginning of the episode which involves the Noisemaker.
Olympia: (confiscates a horn-like item from the Noisemaker) Weird-blowy thing?
Kevin Noisemaker: It's not evil, it's a duck whistle. (blows into the duck whistle which makes quacking noises)
Otis: (screams and cowardly crouches to the ground)
Olympia: Oh, he has a... thing with ducks.

Agent Ohlm

  • There were multiple signs that Ohlm wasn't who he seemed to be.
    • When was the last time we've seen Ohlm successfully solve a case?
    • If Ohlm really was an idiot, how would he have passed the Odd Squad test?
    • During "O Is Not For Over", he tried to sell Otto out to Ms. O by saying he was teaming up with Odd Todd.
    • When the monsters broke out of the doors in headquarters, Ohlm didn't help to stop the monsters.
    • Happy Halfiversary: Ohlm makes a brief appearance while Otis is chasing Mr. Lightning to get his autograph, but when Ohlm's alone, there's a dog barking in his direction. Likely because the dog knows something about Ohlm's true nature that the characters -- and the audience -- don't.
    • And Then There Were Puppies: When the Puppy Master - a Cruella De Vil Expy - turned most of the Odd Squad agents into puppies. Ohlm was one of the only agents to not get transformed and not be in headquarters at that time.
    • When Ohlm made it to the Puppy Master's lair, the "fight scene" between Ohlm and the Puppymaster, was actually Ms. O picturing how Ohlm's powers of confusion might have helped him beat the villain. We don't get to see what actually happened.
    • Towards the end of that same episode, after Ohlm got the Puppy Ray, rather than zap the other agents with the ray and change them back, he zapped himself into a puppy instead. It's unknown how the agents managed to change back.
    • Three's Company: When Ms. O couldn't work in her office due to an infestation, she ended up coming downstairs and getting more involved with the agents. Ohlm stated Ms. O would find out he didn't know to do his job properly. In reality, he was trying to get rid of Ms. O because he had... other plans.
    • In Partner Problems, when Orchid and Ohlm couldn't solve a case they were stuck on for weeks, this is because the former is a reckless agent who doesn't handle authorities, and the latter wasn't even trying to solve the case and letting the villain do their thing.
    • In the made-for-TV movie, when the Daves were doubling rapidly and planning to devour everything in sight and eventually destroy Earth, the agents would spread across the world in their mirror suits to zap an agent with a half-inator, reflecting the beam and making all the Daves double in reverse in various different countries. However, Ohlm was to stand somewhere in Germany and play his part in stopping the Daves, but he initially doesn't stand in the beam where the ray was hitting, and had to be reminded to do so. It's Played for Laughs at the time, but this is an early yet subtle hint that Ohlm didn't want to save the world from the Daves and didn't have a problem with them potentially destroying Germamy and eventually Earth.

    Season 3

The Shadow

  • Odd Beginnings, Part 2: The Shadow makes an appearance at the end, revealing that she was the one behind sending the Sticky Sisters to capture the agents. When her henchman, Brutus, shows her a picture of Opal and asks if she knows her, The Shadow responds:
The Shadow: Know her? She made me who I am.
    • The Sticky Sisters constantly argue, which sets up the underlying theme for the season: sisters who bicker.
  • Train of Thoughts: We catch a quick glimpse of a photograph of Opal and someone else from her days at the Academy.
  • Slow Your Roll: The Shadow becomes enraged that the Mobile Unit managed to take back control of their van, stating that Opal has no idea who she's dealing with. Brutus then attempts to explain how The Shadow and Opal know each other, but is abruptly cut off by his boss before he can get very far.
    • Directly after that, the Big O holds up a picture of The Shadow and asks the Mobile Unit if any of them recognize her. While Omar, Oswald and Orla don't know who she is, Opal is initially very hesitant in answering before responding, "I don't think so." Cue a confused exchange of looks from Omar and Orla.
  • Odd in 60 Seconds: The Shadow manages to break into the secret Odd Squad vault that Ono is in charge of guarding. In doing so, she hacks into the mega-computer stored in there, and takes not only the names of every villain worldwide, but information on Opal as well.
  • The logo of the Villain Network frequently pops up in subsequent episodes, such as "Mr. Unpredictable" and "The Sandwich Project", as Easter eggs.
  • Villain Networking: The entirety of the episode revolves around The Shadow's plan to build a Villain Network comprised of every villain in the world in order to take down the Odd Squad Mobile Unit. She eventually succeeds in doing so once she gets the villains to realize how skilled they are at causing oddness.
  • Mr. Unpredictable: After The Shadow reveals her plan to destroy Odd Squad with her newly recruited villain network, we start to see some major recruitment happening. Starting when Agents Oswald and Orla go undercover at the Villain Academy. When Oswald and Orla are in class, you can see a flyer with a purple logo on it — for the Villain Network. It's supposed to be two Villains talking to each other, but everyone just sees a vase.
  • It's Not Easy Being Chill: When a villain robot starts causing oddness in the Holland countryside, Opal, Orla, and Oswald start to see patterns reminiscent of the villains Mr. Lightning, Lady Bread, and Flatam, all working together. Opal records a Captain's Log entry saying that these must have been caused by someone she doesn't like.
  • The Sandwich Project: Opal finds a copy of the Villain Network logo and records an entry in her Captain's Blog, stating that she believes someone is starting a villain supergroup, and that said someone may be the smartest person Odd Squad has ever been up against.
  • 16 and a Half Blocks: Not everyone is on board with the Villain Network. Evil Sculptor wants to break the "no tattletale code" to give Ms. O intel on the Shadow. The no tattling rule sounds like something a sibling would make up. The episode also hints at another sibling rivalry - The Form Changer is The Shapeshifter's twin sister.
    • Setting aside the fact that the No-Tattletale code has been in existence as early as the Season 1 episode "Jinx", making this foreshadowing across two seasons.
