The Redwood Massacre is a Horror Movie by David Ryan Keith.

Five friends have gone into the woods to spend a weekend at the legendary Redwood Estate, which is infamous as a murder site. Apparently, years ago, someone snapped and murdered his whole family.

Anyway, while on the way, the party soon starts getting picked off by a mysterious killer with a burlap sack on his head. So either someone was inspired by those murders to go on one of their own, or the darker side of the legend, that the son of the murderer has been continuing his father's legacy, is real.

The movie was released on September 28th, 2014. It also has a sequel, Redwood Massacre Annihilation.

The Redwood Massacre contains examples of:

  • Don't Go in the Woods: If you do, you'll end up gutted by a Sackhead Slasher.
  • Down in the Dumps: The final showdown between the killer and the Final Girl happens in a junkyard.
  • Dwindling Party: The party starts getting picked off before they even reach the site.
  • Final Girl: Pamela.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: The killer of the original Redwood murders is said to have eaten his wife after he killed her. He is shown doing so in the flashback.
